INTRO TO TECH

Welcome to the world of technical diving. TDI Intro to Tech Course expands on recreational training by making you a more skilled and a more proficient diver, and is designed as a “preparation course” to the TDI Advanced Nitrox and TDI Decompression Procedures Courses.

    • 2 days, 3 dives, no stage decompression, max depth 23 m / 75 ft.
    • Course prerequisites:
      • Minimum age 15 (with parental consent)
      • Certified as a Open Water Diver or equivalent
      • Proof of a minimum of 25 logged dives in open water
    • Download the course standards & Procedures
    • Get familiar with technical equipment configurations and selection,
    • Enhance open water diving skills such as:
      • advanced buoyancy control,
      • situational awareness,
      • proper trim,
    • Introduction to advanced gas planning techniques with no-decompression diving.

ADVANCED NITROX

TDI Advanced Nitrox Course qualifies divers to use enriched air nitrox from EAN 21 through EAN 100 percent. Training dives in this course do not require staged decompression. Often taught in conjunction with the TDI Decompression Procedures course, this can be considered the foundation of your technical diving career. TDI Advanced Nitrox is also a must for all interested in CCR Rebreather diving .

    • 2 days, 4 dives minimum, no stage decompression, max depth 40 m / 130 ft.
    • Course prerequisites:
          • Minimum age 15 (with parental consent)
          • Certified as a TDI Nitrox Diver or equivalent
          • Proof of a minimum of 25 logged dives in open water

Advanced Nitrox picks up where TDI Nitrox leaves off and offers a more in-depth look at diving with nitrox including:

    • Physics and physiology relating to diving with gas mixes containing more than 40% oxygen
    • Gas planning, dive tables, dive computers, oxygen limitations, nitrogen limitations
    • Equipment considerations, cylinder labeling, analyzing nitrox mixtures, gas blending procedures, and oxygen service ratings for using gases with more than 40% oxygen

DECOMPRESSION PROCEDURES

TDI Decompression Procedures Course prepares you for planned staged decompression diving. With a maximum operating depth of 45 metres/150 feet, this course is your first step beyond the normal sport diving limits. The TDI Decompression Procedures Course combined with the TDI Advanced Nitrox course form the foundation of all other technical courses. After these two courses and some additional experience, the stage has been set for you to move onto additional technical levels.

    • 3 days, 4 dives minimum, involving stage decompression, max depth 45 m / 150 ft.
    • Course prerequisites:
          • Minimum age 18
          • Certified as a Advanced Diver or equivalent
          • Proof of a minimum of 25 logged dives in open water

EXTENDED RANGE

TDI Extended Range Diver Course provides the training and experience necessary including proper techniques, equipment requirements, and hazards of deep air diving, to competently utilize air for dives up to 55 metres/180 feet that require staged decompression, using nitrox mixtures or oxygen during decompression.

    • 4 days, 4 dives minimum, involving stage decompression, max depth 55 m / 180 ft.
    • Course prerequisites:
          • Minimum age 18
          • Certified as a TDI Advanced Nitrox Diver and TDI Decompression Procedures Diver, or equivalent
          • Proof of a minimum of 100 logged dives, of which 25 must be deeper than 30 metres/100 feet
