The Gili Islands are a small idyllic archipelago located around two hours from Bali, in the North-West of Lombok. Easily accessible from Bali and Lombok, it gathers the three islands of Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. Each of the three Gili Islands has its own atmosphere. Closest island to Lombok, Gili Air is the perfect intermediate as it has a chill out and quiet atmosphere while offering a great choice activities, restaurants, bars and other facilities. HOW TO REACH GILI AIR?
Gili Air is easily accessible from Bali or Lombok, Indonesia. Fly to Bali International Airport from many worldwide destinations or get a direct flight to Lombok International Airport from the main cities of Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.
You can take a fast boat from Sanur, Padangbai or Amed. The boat journey respectively lasts from 1.5 to 3,5 hours. Most of the fast boat companies offer a free pick up/drop off at your hotel in the most popular area of Bali (Jimbaran, Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, Ubud, Airport)
You can reach Teluk Nore or Bangsal harbors, the Gilis’ the closest points on Lombok mainland (by car, taxi or motorbike). It takes about 3 hours from Kuta Lombok, 2 hours from the Airport and 45 minutes from Senggigi. Then, you can take a public or charter boat to Gili Air (approx 20 min).
